The Software Development Manager will lead our dynamic team of software engineers in designing, developing, and deploying innovative software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
  • Develop and implement software development processes and best practices to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the software development team.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate software systems with existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing new tools and techniques as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to meet project objectives and organizational goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (X years) in software development, with a strong emphasis on leadership and management.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or others, as well as familiarity with modern development frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and project management tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Leadership qualities including team building, coaching, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a technology or software-focused industry.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or others are a plus.
