We are seeking a talented, creative, and highly motivated candidate with 10+ years of experience in the communications industry to help oversee internal and external initiatives, campaigns, and daily deliverables. This individual has experience executing and scaling strategic communications efforts across a dynamic and growing global organization, helping to ensure the timely creation and dissemination of a range of internal narratives through company newsletters, intranet, and other appropriate channels. We’re looking for a candidate who also brings a proven track record of developing and positioning company narratives for external channels such as LinkedIn, SEO, influencer campaigns, and other appropriate outlets.

Responsibilities

 

A successful candidate is an experienced people manager who leads with a focus on building collaboration, teamwork, and development opportunities across the team. They help ensure corporate strategies and priorities are reinforced and a two-way dialogue is proactively maintained in order to promote idea sharing, creative problem-solving, and an inclusive workplace that keeps all team members engaged. 

The ideal individual is a natural storyteller who possesses Exceptional English Proficiency and can provide a wide range of internal and external written (and spoken) communications examples that demonstrate this skill. Every day, this role will be tasked with overseeing the wordsmithing (highly skilled editing) of messaging, announcements, internal documents, SOPs, media pitches, FAQs, and much more. They will help manage fast-moving, complex communications needs and will be adept at pivoting and/or adapting to change. The role will also oversee and guide robust content and editorial calendars with the ability to envision ways to help amplify our efforts across internal and external channels.

This candidate is a self-starter who helps inspire those around them to deliver exceptional results on time. The core communications competencies for this role also include an eye for detail and design, the ability to stay laser-focused on long-term objectives while effectively managing day-to-day deliverables.

You are excited about the opportunity because you will…

  • Help oversee a team of internal and external communications coordinators with a focus on delivering exceptional results on time and ensuring team members feel valued and encouraged to innovate, collaborate, and problem-solve as a team.
  • Help oversee the ongoing development of our “Internal News Organization” while ensuring the team executes a cadence of creative, informative, and relevant content that is delivered in a timely manner.  
  • Own the accurate measurement, monitoring, and reporting for key communications initiatives and campaigns, engaging our Data Team when appropriate. 
  • Oversee the development, layout, content, and approval process for internal efforts such as our monthly newsletter and ensure related stories are posted to our intranet and repurposed, if appropriate, for external audiences on channels like LinkedIn or for potential media pitching.
  • Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent and timely delivery of relevant and accurate information across the organization.
  • Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of our communication activities and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Research and identify best practices and stay close to emerging communications trends. 
  • Help oversee the collaborative process to organize and implement meaningful, impactful internal events (like company all-hands meetings) that promote our company’s culture and values.

Qualifications

We’re excited about you because…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
  • Bilingual English-Spanish.  English C1 level is required. 
  • 10 years of proven experience in internal and external communications, corporate communication, or similar roles.
  • Exceptional English Proficiency - verbal and written - with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for different audiences and purposes.
  • Creative, innovative strategist, with the ability to ensure the production and dissemination of engaging and relevant content in various formats and media.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with various communication tools and platforms.
  • Experience creating newsletters and working with newsletter software platforms.  
  • Design background is preferred. 
  • A people manager who is passionate about team development and collaboration, seeking opportunities for professional development.
