Overview

We are seeking a bilingual, experienced, and forward-thinking Security Team Lead to spearhead our security initiatives and ensure the safeguarding of our organization's assets.
As a Security Team Lead, you will be pivotal in developing and implementing robust security strategies collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our overall security posture.

This position is 100% remote in Colombia

Responsibilities

● Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard company assets and data.
● Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
● Collaborate with IT, engineering, and other departments to integrate security measures into overall business processes.
● Define and implement security architecture for the company’s solutions on the Cloud.
● Define and implement IT security best practices.
● Ensure the alignment between applications and compliance regulatory frameworks.
● Conduct and plan ethical hacking, PEN testing, and other activities that help the company detect vulnerabilities proactively.
● Oversee incident response and forensic investigations in the event of security breaches.
● Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and security technologies to enhance security protocols proactively.
● Lead and mentor the security team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
● Manage relationships with external security vendors, contractors, and partners.

Qualifications

● Bilingual (English- Spanish) B2/C1.
● Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (must).
● Minimum 11 years of experience in general, minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
● Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance standards.
● Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
● Proficiency in conducting security assessments and penetration testing.
● Excellent communication and leadership skills.
● Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

Preferred:
● Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
● Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
● Previous experience in a remote work environment.
