An Intake Analyst will obtain information about clients’ subjective experiences during their migratory process and compile responses into a report that will support the client’s application for immigration relief.


The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent listener who has the ability to ask thoughtful, empathetic questions with cultural sensitivity and articulate written responses that reflect a client’s subjective experience. The experiences inquired about will encompass various dimensions of an individual’s life, including their physical, emotional, social, financial, and spiritual well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 2-3 interviews with the immigrant population to gather information regarding their psychosocial history (childhood, migration process, interpersonal relationships, work and financial adversity, etc).
  • Must identify the impact of certain situations on the lifestyle, demeanor, and well-being of the client and articulate results in writing.
  • Provide recommendations for professional resources that will be in the client's best interest to improve their immediate environment.
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality and professional ethics when handling sensitive client information.
  • Clearly communicate and practice active listening when speaking with clients.
  • Complete 2-3 written assessments timely and accurately with extreme attention to detail.
  • Attend reunions with supervisors or superiors when requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work.
  • Advanced English level: strong verbal and written communication.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Cultural diversity awareness.
  • Ability to capture the client’s hardships and assist them in articulating the emotional impact they experienced as a result.
  • Understanding of the challenges facing the immigrant population in the United States.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Full-time availability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
