We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Director to lead and manage our
cybersecurity programs, ensuring the protection of organizational data, systems, and
infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent
leadership skills, and a proven track record in implementing and overseeing robust
cybersecurity strategies in alignment with business objectives. Bilingual proficiency in
English and Spanish is highly desired to effectively support diverse teams and global
operations.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity strategy to protect against evolving threats.
  • Lead the development of policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity-related matters, working closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Team Management and Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Define roles and responsibilities within the team, ensuring adequate coverage for all security functions.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and expertise.

Risk Assessment and Incident Response

  • Oversee regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security gaps.
  • Design and implement incident response plans to effectively address and mitigate security breaches.
  • Lead post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned to strengthen security posture.

Security Operations

  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, threats, and vulnerabilities in real time.
  • Oversee patch management and ensure timely updates to systems and applications.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and audit teams to address regulatory obligations and maintain certifications.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with IT, business units, and third-party vendors to ensure security measures align with organizational goals.
  • Present cybersecurity metrics, strategies, and risks to executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Lead vendor risk assessments and ensure third-party compliance with security policies.

Bilingual Communication

  • Leverage bilingual (English/Spanish) skills to effectively communicate with diverse teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cybersecurity training and awareness programs in both English and Spanish to support global and multicultural teams.
  • Provide tailored security recommendations and reports for Spanish-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
  • Proficiency in managing security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and cloud security platforms.
  • Proven experience in incident response and disaster recovery planning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CISA.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity trends, such as zero trust, AI/ML in security, and IoT security.
