We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Physical Security Systems Administrator to oversee the management, configuration, and maintenance of physical security systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and security of systems such as access control, surveillance, and alarm systems to protect organizational assets and personnel.

Responsibilities

System Administration and Maintenance

  • Manage and maintain physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure systems remain secure and functional.
  • Monitor system performance and address issues proactively to minimize downtime.

Configuration and Deployment

  • Configure and deploy security hardware and software, such as cameras, badge readers, and monitoring platforms.
  • Ensure all physical security systems are aligned with organizational security policies and standards.
  • Integrate physical security systems with IT infrastructure where necessary.

Incident Response and Troubleshooting

  • Investigate and resolve system issues promptly to maintain operational integrity.
  • Respond to security incidents by analyzing system logs and video footage to support investigations.
  • Develop and document incident response procedures for physical security systems.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards related to physical security.
  • Maintain accurate records of security system configurations, maintenance, and incidents.
  • Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and recommended improvements.

Collaboration and Training

  • Work closely with IT, facilities, and security teams to implement and maintain physical security solutions.
  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of security systems and tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for physical security technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience administering physical security systems, such as access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems.
  • Strong technical skills in configuring and maintaining physical security hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure as it relates to security systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with systems like Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, or other leading security platforms.
  • Certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional) or similar.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA) for physical security.
  • Experience in integrating physical security systems with IT environments.

*Compensation range for this position is $65,650 - $125,000  per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This range is provided as a general guideline and does not guarantee a specific salary. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
