We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Manager of the Detained

Legal Line to lead and oversee the operations of our legal team focused on assisting detained
clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in immigration law, with a preference for
experience in detained cases. The manager must excel in a fast-paced environment, possess
excellent organizational and leadership skills, and demonstrate adaptability under tight deadlines
and high-pressure situations. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required

Responsibilities

    1. Department Leadership:
      • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Detained Legal Line team.
      • Provide guidance and support to team members handling complex immigration cases.
      • Ensure high-quality legal representation and compliance with ethical standards.
    1. Case Oversight:
      • Monitor case progress to ensure timely filings, responses, and client communication.
      • Review case strategies and ensure alignment with legal objectives.
    1. Reporting and Analysis:
      • Run regular reports to track department performance, case outcomes, and productivity.
      • Identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement within the department.
      • Present findings and recommendations to firm leadership.
    1. Strategic Planning:
      • Assess department needs and allocate resources efficiently.
      • Develop and implement processes to improve workflow and outcomes.
    1. Team Development:
      • Mentor and train staff to enhance their expertise in detained and removal cases.
      • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    1. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
      • Serve as a point of contact for escalated client concerns.
      • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
    1. Adaptability and Problem-Solving:
      • Quickly adapt to evolving legal and operational challenges.
      • Resolve conflicts and issues efficiently to maintain productivity and morale.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual – Speak, read and write in Spanish and English at a C1 level.
  • Strong typing skills of at least 60 WPM in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
  • Experience in immigration law, with a preference for detained case experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using legal case management software and generating analytical reports.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to serving vulnerable populations and upholding the firm’s values.
