Overview

Your primary responsibilities involve constant client interactions to gather, prepare, and organize the relevant information required for legal documents and forms, ensuring that all documents are completed and submitted on time.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret legal documents, concepts, and regulations to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
  • Conduct a thorough review of immigration and criminal records, if accessible, to identify relevant information and assess its impact on the application process.
  • Explain the T/U Visa application process and collect essential client information through interviews and evidence, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded.
  • Prepare and finalize declarations based on gathered information, adhering to legal standards and requirements.
  • Review and verify all documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal guidelines before finalization.
  • Draft cover letters of the documentation, explaining the purpose and context of the submission.
  • Maintain documentation and records organized.
  • Proactively obtain client approval for the application, ensuring it meets client expectations and legal guidelines.
  • Ensure that all documents are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
  • Handle all client information with confidentiality and sensitivity, given the vulnerable nature of trafficking survivors.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of work experience in the legal industry.
  • Prior experience working with T/U-Visas preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills and fast typing.
  • Capacity to work with vulnerable populations, demonstrating compassion and understanding of their experiences.
  • Proficiency and accuracy in conducting legal research, drafting documents, and preparing case materials.
