This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a new humanitarian legal line within the law firm and contribute to the firm's growth and strategic development. In this role, you will lead and oversee a team of employees within our organization. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the driving force behind our department's success, providing leadership, setting clear objectives, and ensuring the effective operation of our team. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate a high-performing and cohesive work environment that aligns with our organizational goals and values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of employees within the departments.
  • Set clear goals, objectives, and performance expectations for team members.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and workload.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues within the team, addressing employee concerns and grievances.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Keep department policies, procedures, and regulations up to date.
  • Monitor and maintaining departmental performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Provide reports and updates to upper management on departmental activities and progress.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about changes that impact departmental operations.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to the department.
  • Represent the department in meetings, presentations, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Take responsibility for the overall success and performance of the department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the legal industry is required.
  • Prior experience working with T-Visas preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex ata and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey insights and recommendations effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of acuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to inspire and lead teams towards achieving operational excellence.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Flexibility to navigate changing business environments and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or Google Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Willing to work in office 100%.

*Compensation range for this position is $73,000 - $123,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This range is provided as a general guideline and does not guarantee a specific salary. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
